How to extend the service life of the aluminum electrolytic tank has become a major issue to be studied and solved urgently in the development of the aluminum industry in China.
Based on a comprehensive study of the current status of electrolyzer life in China and its major influencing factors, the project proposes research directions and corresponding technical measures to eliminate early damage, maintain stable mid-term operation, and strengthen monitoring of late-stage three-system key technologies.
The technical innovations of this project are as follows:
1. The use of a large-size boron-titanium composite layer to wet the cathode, a graphite cathode with a graphite content of more than 30%, and a silicon nitride-bonded silicon carbide-carbon composite side-block series can improve the stability of the operation of the electrolytic cell.
