More than half of children's furniture is unqualified
On December 30, 2013, the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced the supervision and spot check in the fourth quarter of the year. Among them, children's furniture products were sampled in 7 provinces and municipalities including Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hunan, Guangdong and Sichuan. 61 batches of children's furniture products produced by the company.
It is understood that this spot check is based on the requirements of GB 28007-2011 "General technical conditions for children's furniture" and other requirements, structural safety of children's furniture products, mechanical properties of chairs, mechanical properties of tables, mechanical properties of cabinets, single layer 45 items such as bed mechanical properties, hazardous substances limit, and warning signs were tested.
The results of the spot check found that 33 batches of products did not meet the requirements of the new national standard, involving the release of formaldehyde in the wooden parts of the product, edges and tips, holes and gaps, strength test of push-pull parts, warning signs and other items. The reporter found that the children's furniture brands that have been listed on the "Black List" include children's furniture products such as Happy Life, Colorful Life, Love, Songbao Kingdom, I Love My Family, All Friends, and many other well-known brands.
