(2) Before using explosion-proof tools, combustible gas in the workplace should be compared with explosion-proof test gas; qualified products with higher-grade media can be used in media sites with lower levels of danger. Conversely, products that pass the lower-grade media test cannot be used in locations with higher levels of risk. If special needs are required, the manufacturer is required to use the test unit after passing the test.
Obviously, it should not be arbitrarily used as a common tool in non-hazardous locations to avoid losing its proper performance. What should be pointed out is that it should not be used as an alternative. For example, if the specifications of current production varieties do not meet the requirements of users, they must apply for special designs and manufacturing.
(3) Explosion-proof medium is high-strength and corrosion-resistant in most medium gases. However, it is not corrosion resistant under all circumstances, such as corrosion in wet ammonia, certain ammonium salts, acetylene, moist fluorine, chlorine, ammonium chloride, certain dichromates, potassium hydrides, etc. The degree is quite large. In addition, some media may react chemically with copper alloys, resulting in dangerously explosive substances, such as acetylene steel produced by acetylene and steel. When using explosion-proof tools for this purpose, as far as possible in a dry environment, if it is impossible to avoid using in a humid environment, try to speed up the operation speed and reduce the working time, so as to avoid causing greater corrosion and dangerous.
