Total subsidiary develops low shrinkage resin additives

The world's leading specialty resin supplier, CrayValley, has recently successfully developed a resin additive product with a low shrinkage rate and named it NORSOLOOK. NORSOLOOK is developed by Creville to meet the current demand in the field of composite materials. Out of the additive products, this series of products can be widely used in the molding (SMC), block molding (BMC) and pultrusion (pultrusion) and transfer molding (RTM) fields.

According to Creeville's market research, there are two significant development opportunities for NORSOLOOK additives in automotive manufacturing. On the one hand, this type of auxiliary product can help automotive parts to improve the sprayability and film adhesion, whether it is on the assembly line of SMC or offline SMC materials can be used. The paintability of bodywork and parts materials is a very tricky problem, which directly leads to the increase in the final automobile assembly cost. And NORSOLOOK's second business opportunity is to help high-end SMC materials have better surface properties. The use of NORSOLOOK will effectively improve the surface properties of the material, making the material surface more beautiful.

For the above two applications, Craveley developed NORSOLOOK while also preparing the resin material for use with NORSODYNEM01510. In addition, NORSODYNE's lower VOC emissions and lower organic solvent content make Material formulations are more environmentally friendly and safe.

Crevelli is one of the subsidiaries of Total Chemicals (Total), together with COOKCOMPOSITES & POLYMERS and SARTOMER, it ranks as the world's second largest resin supplier with sales of 2.2 billion euros.
