New material industry statistical system basically formed

On November 26, the National Bureau of Statistics announced the "Classification of Strategic Emerging Industries (2018)" (Order No. 23 of the National Bureau of Statistics) (hereinafter referred to as "Industry Classification"). "Industry Classification" has refined and improved the new material industry catalog, marking the basic formation of the new material industry statistical system.

The "Industry Classification" new material industry catalog includes 7 major steel materials, advanced nonferrous metal materials, advanced petrochemical new materials, advanced inorganic non-metallic materials, high-performance fibers and products and composite materials, cutting-edge new materials, new material-related services, etc. The field covers 166 subcategories of high-performance bearing steel processing, high-tech marine steel processing, high-strength automotive cold-rolled sheet processing, new aluminum alloy manufacturing, metal additive manufacturing special materials manufacturing, new material development and design services, etc. There are 135 new subcategories.
