The work of Microsoft (Renewable Energy)-Marine Expert Team has proved that the concept of underwater data center is feasible and practical. Now, operating such equipment in offshore wind power facilities will become more interesting.

Spencer Fowers, a key technician of the Microsoft Special Projects Research Group, said: "We have been able to operate well in most grid environments that are not reliable for onshore data centers."
