Fujitsu BSC today announced a new disaster prevention facility, an FM radio, designed for blackouts, outdoor use, and natural disasters. It can be powered by solar energy and may be useful when earthquakes and tsunamis arrive. This kind of radio can receive the FM wave frequency of 76-90MHz of Japan (the world's only narrowest frequency band). Covered by a large-sized solar panel, it can also be charged via USB and AC adapters.
Not only can it be used as a radio, but the 32 LED lights on the side can also make it an emergency light. It can be turned on for 44 hours in 8 hours. It weighs only 2 pounds and costs $134.
