According to the memorandum, the two sides signed the "Work Plan for the Sino-US Shale Gas Resources Working Group" on May 25, 2010. The two sides each established a resource working group. The United States sent experts from the working group to China to exchange information on shale gas development and resource assessment techniques, and to carry out resource assessment research in the eastern depression of the Liaohe River. The two parties held three resource working group meetings in November 2010, March 2011, and May 2011 respectively to exchange information on shale gas resource assessment techniques. The study established the method for evaluating the resources of the eastern depression of the Liaohe River and the required data. The sag shale gas resources exchange views.
