Explanation about RFID

We often mention the abbreviated English word RFID, but do we all know its full name and specific explanation?

RFID is the abbreviation of RadioFrequencyIdentification. That is radio frequency identification. Commonly referred to as inductive electronic chips or proximity cards, inductive cards, non-contact cards, electronic tags, electronic barcodes, etc.

A complete RFID system is composed of Reader and Transponder. Its principle is that Reader transmits an infinite wave energy of a specific frequency to Transponder. It is used to drive the Transponder circuit to send out the internal IDCode, and then the Reader receives the IDCode.

The special feature of Transponder is that it is battery-free, contact-free, and card-free, so it is not afraid of dirt, and the chip password is the only in the world, which cannot be copied, has high security and long life.

RFID is widely used. Typical applications include animal products, car chip anti-theft devices, access control, parking lot control, production line automation, and material management. There are two types of RFID tags: active tags and passive tags.

RFID radio frequency identification is a non-contact automatic identification technology. It uses radio frequency signals to automatically identify target objects and obtain relevant data. The identification work does not require manual intervention. Can be used in various harsh environments. RFID technology can identify high-speed moving objects and can recognize multiple tags at the same time, and the operation is quick and convenient.

Short-range RF products are not afraid of harsh environments such as oil stains and dust pollution. They can replace barcodes in such environments, for example, they are used to track objects on the factory's assembly line. Long-range RF products are mostly used for transportation. The recognition distance can reach tens of meters. Such as automatic toll collection or vehicle identification.
