Note the following when using fluorescent lamps:
(1) Use fluorescent lamps to avoid frequent starts. The life of the fluorescent lamp is generally not less than 3,000 hours, provided that the ignition is continuously performed for 3 hours per start. With the length of each successive ignition time, the life of the lamp is relatively extended or shortened. Because each time it is started, the filament of the lamp is subjected to high voltage shock, and the current at the start is 2 to 3 times that of the normal ignition. The startup accelerates the consumption of electron-emitting substances on the filament. When the electron-emitting material on the filament is exhausted, the life of the tube is completed. If it is started once, only the lamp is ignited for 1 hour, and the life of the lamp is shortened to less than 70%. Therefore, when using fluorescent lamps, try to avoid unreasonable frequent starts.
(2) The high and low power supply voltage will also shorten the service life of the fluorescent lamp. When the voltage is higher than the normal working voltage of the fluorescent lamp, the current flowing through the lamp tube is undoubtedly increased, the loss of the filament is accelerated, and the life of the lamp tube is shortened. In addition, this situation can also cause the ballast to overheat, causing insulation leakage or insulation damage and short circuit accidents. However, the voltage is lower than the normal operating voltage of the fluorescent lamp, which will shorten the life of the lamp. Because the preheating temperature of the filament is low at this time, the starting is difficult, and the flashing is frequent, so that the loss of the filament is too large. Therefore, in the place where the voltage is high, appropriate pressure-reduction measures should be taken. If the choke coil is connected or the matching relationship of the ballast is temporarily changed (40-watt lamp tube temporarily uses a 30-watt ballast, etc.); Reduce the number of starts at peak times. In places where the voltage is low, a high-impedance coil can be connected to both ends of the ballast to solve the problem of starting difficulty, or the ballasting method can be used to temporarily change the matching relationship with the lamp.
(3) Under normal voltage, the lamp and ballast should be used together. Otherwise, the current flowing through the lamp will be abnormal, causing unnecessary loss, or causing difficulty in starting. The battery can be ignited by repeated beating, which increases the chance of the filament being bombarded by ions and accelerates the aging of the lamp. . Extend the service life of the fluorescent lamp. After using the fluorescent lamp for a period of time, black spots appear on both ends of the lamp. After the power is turned on, the lamp will flash. One end is bright or slightly bright. It is a pity that the lamp is thrown away at this time. On the basis of the original wiring of the fluorescent lamp, I only add one starter of the same type to connect it with the original starter. After the power is turned on, the fluorescent lamp will be re-lighted. This method is applicable to fluorescent lamp lighting circuits with 6 to 40W multiple powers. This method is best used in places where the brightness of units or households is not high, which is economical and affordable. I have used this method for more than 30 used fluorescent lamps, which have achieved good results and can extend the life of the fluorescent lamps by a quarter to a third.
Fault determination and processing
1. After the fluorescent tube is connected to the circuit, the starter jumps normally, and the two ends of the tube emit light like ordinary incandescent light, while the filament is not flickering, the middle is not bright, and the tube cannot be started. The lamp tube has leaked. For any lamp with serious air leakage, a slight trace of white smoke may appear on the inner wall of the filament at both ends.
2. When replacing the lamp, if the two ends of the new pipe are bright and the sound is extinguished with the sound, the inductive ballast is generally damaged. At this time, at least one end of the filament of the lamp is detected to be blown. In this case, the ballast should be replaced first, then the new tube should be installed.
3. The starter is damaged. After the power is turned on, the two ends of the lamp are illuminated and the lamp is always unable to light. Replace the starter.
Led fluorescent lamp
4. The two ends of the lamp are black, indicating that the lamp life will be completed, and the luminous efficiency is also reduced, and should be replaced in time.
5. The starter is frequently started, and the lamp is off when it is on. Generally, the quality of the lamp is poor, and the lamp of good quality should be replaced.
6 The lamp is flickering seriously or there is a light column rolling phenomenon, which cannot be normally illuminated. It can be turned off and restarted. When the fault phenomenon cannot be eliminated several times, it indicates that the lamp quality is poor, and there are many impurity gases in the pipe.
In short, better understanding of the common sense of fluorescent lamps can better solve the problem.
