China ’s rich coal lacks oil and gas, and the development of clean and efficient utilization of coal technology and the expansion of liquid fuel supply channels are of great significance for ensuring national energy security and alleviating environmental pressure. The first million-ton coal direct oil production demonstration project constructed by the Ordos Coal-to-Oil Branch is an integral part of the national energy strategy.
Wang Jianli, general manager of Ordos Coal-to-liquid Branch, said that the first production line of the demonstration project was started in 2004, with an annual output of 1.08 million tons of diesel, naphtha and other oil products. It was completed and successfully commissioned at the end of 2008. At present, the localization rate of the first production line has reached more than 98%, which not only solves the bottleneck of the long-term stable operation of the production line, but also promotes the development of China's coal chemical key equipment R & D and manufacturing capabilities, and eliminates the large-scale development of the domestic modern coal chemical industry.
