Starting the registration of fingerprint information will not be a large-scale renewal. On January 1 of this year, the Municipal Public Security Bureau took the lead in piloting two areas in the Yanshan and Yizhuang Development Zones, accepting fingerprint information for citizens to receive documents, and issuing resident identity cards for registration of fingerprint information. Up to now, the two pilot sub-bureaus have accepted more than 2,000 fingerprint identification cards.

Citizens who have already received a resident identity card will register “fingerprint information” when they redeem or replace their ID card.

For a resident identity card that is still within the validity period and voluntarily redeems the resident ID card with fingerprint information, the public security agency will handle it in a timely manner.

Can not extract fingerprints affect registration?

What if the fingerprint changes with age?

Shi Chongxin stated that the resident ID card sets different valid periods according to different age groups for children, youth, middle age, and old age. When the validity period expires, fingerprints must be collected again.

According to reports, due to children’s changes in physical characteristics and patterns, the validity period of children’s documents is only 5 years; young people’s future changes are quite large; the documents are exchanged for 10 years; the 25-year-old document is valid for 20 years; after 45 years old, people are stereotyped. Fingerprint information will reveal privacy?

Shi Chongxin said that fingerprint information is collected, transmitted, and stored on the public security network. The fingerprint information registered in the ID card is a digitized fingerprint feature point converted into a fingerprint pattern through a strict and accurate formula, rather than the fingerprint image itself. Even if a citizen loses the ID card and is read out of these feature points, it cannot be reversed to a fingerprint image, so it is safe to collect the fingerprint information.

Even if it is applied in the future, for example, when the bank handles business, the licensee will press the fingerprint at the scene, the instrument will compare with the fingerprint feature points stored in the ID card, and will not display the fingerprint image.

The link fingerprinting sequence is followed by right-handedness and left-handedness. Each hand receives a handprint in normal condition. The order is thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger. If the thumb of the right hand is successfully collected, the thumb of the left hand is followed, and if the acquisition is successful, the two fingerprints are collected.
