It is reported that this is another new prospecting breakthrough since the discovery of large-scale gold mines in the Yili area by the First District Brigade of the Xinjiang Geological and Mineral Bureau in 1988.

According to Dong Lianhui, chief engineer of the Xinjiang Geological and Mineral Bureau, the Katbaasu Gold Mine is the only super-large gold mine in the Central Tianshan region, and has a metallogenic area with large-scale and super-large gold deposits in Central Asian countries, with excellent metallogenic conditions. Prospecting prospects are optimistic. Carter Azu will become a continuation of the “Central Asian Gold Belt” in China. At the same time, the tectono-altering rock type prospecting associated with porphyry opened up a new direction for prospecting in the Nalti area of ​​the Western Tianshan.

Wang Chunlei, head of the first regional geological survey team of the Xinjiang Geological and Mineral Bureau, who is responsible for the project, told the reporter that the newly discovered Katbaasusu gold mine is one of the “358” key projects in Xinjiang. As early as 2006, geologists found better prospecting clues in the area. In order to achieve a rapid breakthrough in geological prospecting and strive for more social capital investment, coordinated by the Xinjiang Geological and Mineral Bureau, the First Zone Adjustment Brigade of the Xinjiang Geological and Mineral Bureau and Hainan Meisheng Company jointly launched risk exploration in the region. Up to now, the mining area has invested nearly 180 million yuan in social funds.

Fu Shuzhou, general manager of Xinjiang Meisheng Mining Co., Ltd. introduced that the mine will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2015, and it is expected to achieve a scale of 3,000 tons of ore per day, with an annual output of 30,000 tons of gold and an output value of 513 million yuan.

It is reported that through further work, the scale of the gold mine will also expand and it is expected to rank among the super-large gold mines.
